Chimichurri Sauce is a traditional South American marinade for beef that is also used as a dip for breads. Marinade your beef (flank steak is best but any beef will work) for 15 minutes with Chimichurri Sauce. During grilling apply additional sauce. Then after grilling, top the beef with unused marinade. Chimichurri sauce is a unique and tasty way to serve the flavors of Argentina.
1 cup Homestead’s Argentinian style Chimichurri Seasoning
1 cup water
2 cups olive oil
½ cup Balsamic vinegar
1 chopped red onion
½ garlic clove minced
15oz. (approx.) of sweet peppers
5oz. (approx.) of jalapeno
Mix 1 cup Homestead’s Argentina style Chimichurri Seasoning with 1 cup of water. Stir seasoning with water until seasoning has absorbed the majority of water and the seasoning has become soft.
Then add 2 cups olive oil and ½ cup balsamic vinegar then stir together.
Add chopped onion and peppers. The amount of peppers should be adjusted to taste.
Completely mix together and let sit for about 30 minutes.
